Hiram is dedicated to ensuring the safety of our community

At the age of 21, Hiram served as a member of the NYPD, patrolling the streets of 108th Street in the 112th Precinct. With a deep understanding of our district his commitment to creating a safer environment highlights his dedication to protecting vulnerable individuals and fostering a thriving community for all residents

Recognizing the challenges faced by the Roosevelt Ave community due to prostitution, drug-related activities, and sex trafficking, Hiram took action to implement a comprehensive safety initiative in collaboration with local law enforcement and community organizations.

He supports bringing property tax relief to owner-occupied homes with 1-3 family units, addressing the challenges in our housing market.

In the face of high unemployment in New York, Hiram is committed to finding solutions that benefit both small landlords and renters.

It’s time to address homelessness comprehensively.

The city’s current approach to homelessness merely shifts the problem without solving it. Hiram advocates for a sustainable solution that goes beyond relocating individuals and giving tax breaks to developers. Providing more outreach to the homeless with emotional, substance abuse and mental problems. We also need to provide pathways to permanent housing in real homes.

Hiram is a product of our local schools and a CUNY alumnus. He values public education and believes in expanding access. We need more school space, and smaller class sizes.  We need to fund more afterschool programing to enhance educational experience and expand beacon centers across our city.
